Passu peak situated at the extreme west of Batura Muztagh at upper Hunza beyond Passu village about one hundred km beyond the China border and 150 km from Gilgit its on the Karakoram highway is clearly visible. It is surrounded by Batura-I 7885m, Shisper 7619m, Balter peak 7400m Kampir Deyor peak 7611m. It lies between Batura glacier, the 6th longest glacier of the world, Passu glacier, Ghulkin glacier and the Kamaris glacier.

It is a technical climb to an ice dome on the top of Batura Muztagh through ice, hidden crevasses, and ice shoulders.

It has an easy approach from Islamabad on the Karakoram highway.


Trip Itinerary:

Day 01          Islamabad
Arrive Islamabad.

Day 02          Islamabad            
Welcome reception.

Day 03          Gilgit/Chilas
Fly to Gilgit (Flight is subject to weather).
In case of cancellation of flight drive (10-12 hrs) by coach to Chilas (493 km) on Karakoram Highway..

Day 04          Gulmit
                    Drive to Gulmit.

Day 05-06      Base Camp (3600m)
                    By jeep to Borit lake and start two days trek to the Base Camp on Passu                     glacier.

Day 07-36      30 days for acclimatization and climbing.

Day 37-38      Two full days trek back to Borit lake and by jeep to Gulmit.

Day 39          Chilas
                    By coach drive back to Chilas.

Day 40          Islamabad
Morning drive to Islamabad (475km), it will take 10 to 11 hours.

Day 41          Islamabad
Farewell meet.

Day 42          Fly out. Transfer to airport for your return flight home.
