During summer the high altitude mountain valleys of Northern Pakistan can be visited for watching unique species of resident birds. Famous areas for some unique birds include Chitral, Gilgit Valley, Deosai National Park, Baltistan, Hunza Valley, Khunjerab National Park and Nanga Parbat trekking area.
